With regards to that.

Many people have seen fit to appropriate my text for their own promotional purposes.

That many previously have does not make it acceptable, or legal. I am embarrassed on your behalf that you are neither honest or intellectually able enough to articulate the nature of your interest and experience. Consider at least that pieces of my text lifted and inserted will not segue well with the remainder of your site. Additionally when phrases and structure are over-used and commonplace, they become worn-out, trite and repetitive. There then ceases to be any insight or genuine emotion conveyed by the words.

If nothing about you or your craft is sufficiently outstanding to warrant an original description, appropriating my words is not going to help your cause.
